The lowest cost biogas projects are not the largest or the most subsidized; they are the ones with optimized feedstock mix, stable digestion, efficient solids management, and minimal transport exposure.
Great input. Both pathways have merit, but the real question is which model remains economically resilient without credit structures. Distributed end use often delivers immediate operational savings and energy resilience, while RNG pipeline injection can unlock scale where policy frameworks are stable. From a process equipment perspective, the priority should be maximizing biogas capture efficiency and solids management first; monetization strategy comes second.
