Forging Closer Ties with Our Sister Company, TCI+

Forging Closer Ties with Our Sister Company, TCI+, to Address the Challenges of the Rapidly Expanding Regional Biogas Sector
By Methalac
One of the distinctive features of the VINCI Energies Group is that it covers a broad spectrum of business lines on a global scale through a decentralized organization.
The Group comprises 2,100 companies, with over 100,000 employees and sales of 30 billion dollars. Methalac became part of this large family in the spring of 2023 and has worked ever since to forge partnerships with the Group’s subsidiaries around joint biogas projects.
Each company in the group is an expert in a specific activity segment, providing tailor-made solutions and services. For example, Methalac is the driving force behind the anaerobic digestion process, backed up by TCI +, a supplier of services and infrastructure to renewable energy producers.
It is the 3rd largest employer in this sector in Quebec, with 2,100 people serving communities and 50 years of experience in construction. Together, they form a multi-specialist partnership that combines expertise to suit each project.
VINCI Energies’ partnership approach, practiced at the local level, is a key factor in creating value. Methalac is well aware of this, having been present in Quebec for more than two years, with 13 years of specialization in the design and installation of biogas plants (65 plants designed and installed to date with over a hundred plants under maintenance service or biological supervision), the biogas expert is getting closer to TCI+, whose activities have a major impact on Quebec local communities, providing solutions that develop energy infrastructures.
The first step was taken in 2024, with the official opening of the Omexom Institute (the Group’s infrastructure brand under which TCI+ operates). Methalac’s Quebec Biogas Development Manager, Valentin Girerd, responded to the invitation of Sylvain Rousseau, VP of Strategic Business Development at TCI+, to present biogas opportunities in Quebec to the delegation led by the brand to better understand the local renewable energy market and the synergies between TCI+’s activities and Methalac’s around biogas projects.
The training centre for the energy sector, the first in Quebec, was inaugurated the following month in the presence of Laval mayor Stéphane Boyer, VINCI Energies CEO Arnaud Grison, Philippe Peter, Managing Director of the Division VINCI Energies Canada Infra and TCI+ employees.
