Regarding new innovations, there continuing improvements to handle low to high H2S requirements, high moisture conditions, fluctuating pressure situations, as well improvements of accuracy to set NDIR & EC analyzers as suitable, very cost effective alternatives to gas chromatographs.

Sensor and analyzer technologies are always evolving. You can expect that performance and operator practicality will continue to improve, and generally with these advancements, costs, especially cost of ownership should also continue to improve.

There are a few different sensor technologies for measuring biogas, and even high methane RNG, but for portable solutions NDIR and electrochemical are proven, cost-effective technologies to be used on landfills, anerobic digester, and also RNG processing. These same sensor technologies can be incorporated in to stationary, multi-channel analyzers for 24/7 monitoring as well as part of the controlling processes.
