The short answer is ‘the system that is the best fit for the project’. The biogas industry, by nature, does not have an ‘of the shelf’ solution for every project. Dry / Wet digestion, membranes / PSA / Amine upgrading, lagoon / tank digesters, many potential choices, out of which a combination of technologies best suited for the situation is the way to go. Approaching all developers, asking questions to suppliers and visiting existing sites can give you an answer on which path to take.

In addition to the right choice technology for both Digestor and Upgrading System, Construction cost is also another important aspect to consider for cost reduction. Any delay in construction, schedule slip due to supply chain issues, compliance issue etc. will translate into higher costs.
