Job Description
Mead & Hunt is a Top 100 national engineering/architecture consulting firm with a growing water/wastewater practice. As a result, we have a full-time position available for a water/wastewater project manager/engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Serving as the project manager for industrial and municipal water and wastewater projects
- Overseeing design as well as performing technical design tasks
- Provide study/evaluation and design lead engineering services
- Mentoring and providing technical guidance to project team and junior staff
- Ensuring quality control and quality assurance reviews
- Aiding proposals and project development, including scope and pricing
- Hydraulic and treatment analyses
- Serving as a client manager
- Travel will be required (10-20%)
Job Qualifications
The successful candidate must have all of the following:
- A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil, chemical, environmental or related engineering from an accredited college or university
- At least four years of relevant experience
The ideal candidate will have experience in any/all of the following:
- Project management (scope, schedule and budget) of projects
- Water/Wastewater supply and treatment design experience including:
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment process design and technologies, including aerobi and anaerobic biological wastewater treatment
- Developing plans and specifications
- Technology selection
- Aiding in construction and life cycle cost estimates
- PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in additional states
- Industrial food and beverage wastewater treatment experience
- Experience with anaerobic treatment and biogas systems
- Experience with project management across project phases: conceptual/preliminary design, detailed design, construction, and commissioning phases
- Experience aiding in construction and life cycle cost estimates
- Mentoring and providing technical guidance to staff
- Client management for public and private entities
- Experience coordinating and managing multi-disciplinary teams
The ideal candidate will also have experience with EPC (Engineer, Procure, Construct) or design-build project delivery.
