Job Description

Mead & Hunt is a Top 100 national engineering/architecture consulting firm with a growing water/wastewater practice. As a result, we have a full-time position available for a water/wastewater project manager/engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Serving as the project manager for industrial and municipal water and wastewater projects
  • Overseeing design as well as performing technical design tasks
  • Provide study/evaluation and design lead engineering services
  • Mentoring and providing technical guidance to project team and junior staff
  • Ensuring quality control and quality assurance reviews
  • Aiding proposals and project development, including scope and pricing
  • Hydraulic and treatment analyses
  • Serving as a client manager
  • Travel will be required (10-20%)

Job Qualifications

The successful candidate must have all of the following:

  • A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil, chemical, environmental or related engineering from an accredited college or university
  • At least four years of relevant experience

The ideal candidate will have experience in any/all of the following:

  • Project management (scope, schedule and budget) of projects
  • Water/Wastewater supply and treatment design experience including:
    • Knowledge of wastewater treatment process design and technologies, including aerobi and anaerobic biological wastewater treatment
    • Developing plans and specifications
    • Technology selection
    • Aiding in construction and life cycle cost estimates
  • PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in additional states
  • Industrial food and beverage wastewater treatment experience
  • Experience with anaerobic treatment and biogas systems
  • Experience with project management across project phases: conceptual/preliminary design, detailed design, construction, and commissioning phases
  • Experience aiding in construction and life cycle cost estimates
  • Mentoring and providing technical guidance to staff
  • Client management for public and private entities
  • Experience coordinating and managing multi-disciplinary teams

The ideal candidate will also have experience with EPC (Engineer, Procure, Construct) or design-build project delivery.
