The Renewable Natural Gas Optimization Lead Specialist will be responsible for the optimization of the Landfill Gas Renewable Natural Gas projects. This position will report to the Director, Optimization LNG/RNG.

Responsibilities

• Support the site after initial start-up to identify and establish plans to resolve or enhance current operating conditions.
• In supporting the Director, you will assist in the optimization process from the landfill to delivery of the biogas to meet or exceed design and budget expectations.
• Monitor and report on site conditions to quickly identify issues of existing sites.
• Mobilize as needed to troubleshoot upset conditions at plants.
• Work with the Construction Project Manager, Commissioning Manager and Wellfield Operations on comprehensive issues and solutions list.
• This position will be the liaison between the contractors and work with the operations team for completion of projects identified from the issues list.

Position requires physical effort such as that associated with driving a motorized vehicle, using hand tools, and typing on a computer. Position requires moderate lifting (10-50 lbs.), occasional need to walk on irregular surfaces, and occasional stooping, kneeling, climbing, or crouching. Also requires the use of hands and arms to operate/examine gas meter, flow meters, hand tools and test/diagnostic equipment.

Job Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of relevant RNG/LNG experience with operations background.
• Landfill gas operating experience.
• Renewable natural gas operating experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Process engineering experience preferred.
• Computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Must be self-motivated and perform most tasks with little or no supervision.
• 50% travel required.
• Current and valid driver’s license.
