Job Description

To support our growth and presence in Spain, we are looking for a business developer who is willing to contribute to a large-scale project, working with an international, dynamic, and flexible team at the Spanish headquarters.

Responsibilities

Manage business development in the identified area (90%):

  • Identify new prospects, follow up with existing clients and sign agreements
    • Qualify and develop new projects
    • Prepare the technical proposal in collaboration with your supervisor and the Technical department
    • Evaluate the selected solutions based on constraints and costs
    • Prepare the technical and commercial argument
    • Ensure management of interconnections with gas and electricity network managers
    • Develop business and financial plans
    • Negotiate contracts in collaboration with the Project Contracts service
    • Bringing contracts to signature
    • Managing your customer portfolio
  • Participate in the development of the project execution plan
  • Participate in the monitoring of projects in progress
  • Carry out a general mission of advice, information and technical assistance to internal managers and clients
  • Participate in presentations and conferences to promote the Waga Energy brand in the Spanish market

Conduct market research in the identified area (10%):

  • Ensure economic and technical monitoring to stay informed about market developments and trends
  • Collect “market” information and share it with management
    • Analyze and synthesize the information collected to identify the characteristics of a market

Job Qualifications

Graduate with a university degree in Engineering, ideally complemented by a commercial or business administration background with experience in technical projects. A  minimum of 3 years experience in business development is required, ideally in the waste or renewable energy sector. Availability to travel is required for the position (up to 40%). In addition to Spanish, mastery of English (written and spoken) is required, and mastery of French will be valued.

  • Ability to make impactful business presentations.
  • A mastery of negotiation techniques.
  • A mastery of the sector-specific business model.
  • A good knowledge of finance.
