Job Description

Design of Basic Engineering and Detailed Engineering within the Instrumentation & Control Discipline for Biomethane Projects

Responsibilities

Generation and checking of deliverables within the Instrumentation&Control discipline in IB&ID phase:

  • P&ID’s
  • Instrumentation Location Plan
  • Pneumatic instrumentation location drawings
  • Location of boxes and cable routing
  • List of instruments, cables and wired signals
  • Instrument specification
  • Control Loop Layout
  • PLC/SC specification
  • Wiring diagrams
  • Bills of materials
  • Cable fireproofing study
  • Instrument assembly drawings
  • Explosive atmosphere analysis and classification
  • Analysis of deliverables according to applicable standards
  • Management and follow-up of Instrumentation&Control deliverables in APC phase (Approved for Construction)
  • Review of documentation generated by external collaborators of package units affecting the Instrumentation&Control design of the project

Job Qualifications

  • More than 5 years experience in detail engineering design within the Instrumentation&Control discipline.
  • Experience in biogas-biomethane projects from the engineering phase to the execution phase.
  • Experience in the development of ATEX Analysis according to European Directive.
  • Degree in Engineering
  • Desirable Master’s degree in renewable energies, waste management or similar.
  • Registered with the Professional Association of Engineers.
  • Knowledge of Biogas installations
  • Design and needs analysis of plant control programs (PLC, SCADA). Design of requirements for the purchase of the same and technical analysis of the documentation provided by the
  • suppliers for the fulfilment of the specifications established in the design.
  • Knowledge of Explosive Atmospheres Analysis according to the ATEX Directive and its effect on the choice of instruments, equipment and materials.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation&control documentation issue in APC phase.
  • Handling of instrument calculation software (sizing of control valves, orifice plates).
  • Solid knowledge in choice of type of instrumentation or sensors depending on the process and applicable regulations.
  • Knowledge of 2D and/or 3D design programs for cable runs and instrumentation trays. Knowledge of AutoDesk platform desirable.
  • Technical validation of documentation from collaborators and/or suppliers linked to the design of instrumentation and control.
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable regulations
