Family-Owned Innovation Fuels Renewable Energy Growth

By BAUER COMPRESSORS INC.
In Central Texas, a family-owned dairy farm caring for over 5,000 dairy cows is now a leader in agricultural sustainability.
With over 145,000 MMBtu of renewable natural gas (RNG) produced annually from dairy manure, this site marks another milestone in North America’s transition to cleaner, domestically sourced energy.
The fully integrated facility was designed and executed by Nacelle Solutions in partnership with BAUER COMPRESSORS INC. to create pipeline-grade RNG via membrane separation.
BAUER COMPRESSORS, INC., headquartered in Norfolk, VA, is recognized as the world’s foremost innovative designer and manufacturer of state-of-the-art high-pressure compressor systems.
For over 75 years, the BAUER Group has led the charge in compression technology, earning industry-wide trust for its steadfast commitment to quality, safety, and durability.
At the core of the operation in Central Texas with Nacelle Solutions is BAUER’s GRU® 42 Series feed gas compressor engineered for stability and scalability.
It is a critical component, enabling the movement of low pressure (2 PSIG) pre-cleant biogas to 225 PSIG, preparing it for efficient, uninterrupted processing through a three-stage membrane system.
The current system capacity is 525 SCFM of raw biogas. However, thanks to a modular system design, the site is expandable to 750 SCFM, ready to meet growing production demands. It is equipped with BAUER CONNECT® IoT remote and control, which comes standard on BAUER GRU® systems.
This project exemplifies the synergy between innovative engineering and American manufacturing.
Nacelle’s system design and BAUER’s compressor technology enable clean energy generation directly from agricultural waste, helping to integrate local farmers into the domestic energy economy while creating high-quality rural jobs.
