Integrated RNG Technologies Under One Roof: De-Risking Project Delivery Across North America

By Graham Hartlett, Chief Sales Officer

Vancouver, WA – July 9, 2025

As the renewable natural gas (RNG) market continues to mature across North America, the industry is reaching a clear inflection point: project success now often hinges on the ability to deploy integrated, proven technologies rather than cobbling together systems from multiple vendors.

At The Host Group which incorporates Bright Renewables, we’ve taken a different approach. With US headquarters in Vancouver, WA, we offer a fully integrated suite of RNG technologies, all engineered, tested, and deployed under one roof. Our goal is simple: eliminate complexity and reduce execution risk for developers and EPCs by serving as a single-source partner across much of the RNG value chain. Unlike traditional equipment vendors, we bring decades of owner-operator experience from our biogas and RNG facilities in Europe. One of these plants is dedicated to research and development, where new systems are tested in real-world conditions and refined through continuous operator feedback. This tight innovation loop ensures our technologies are field-proven before reaching North American sites.

Our current technology portfolio includes:

– Three Stage Membrane Biogas Upgraders: Equipped with Evonik membranes, offering flow capacities from 150 to 2,200 SCFM. We were the first to bring Evonik’s 11” membrane to the U.S. market and have deployed nearly 40 systems to date.

– CSTR Anaerobic Digesters: Proven for use with mono feedstocks such as dairy manure, as well as a range of waste streams including slaughterhouse waste, FOG, distillery residues, food scraps, and agricultural residues.

– Standardized LCO₂ Systems: Designed for both retrofits and new builds, our CO₂ liquefaction systems handle flows from 600 to 4,000 kg/hr and deliver rapid payback with minimal capital outlay.

– Deoxygenation Units: Integrated or standalone solutions engineered to meet strict pipeline oxygen specifications.

– Carbon Capture and Hydrogen Platforms: Future ready systems for CO₂ recovery from flue gas and proprietary steam methane reformation hydrogen technology.

– Our systems are fabricated in-house to ensure speed, quality, and seamless integration across technologies. Through our U.S. based manufacturing partnerships we can also meet domestic content requirements under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).

Local Expertise, National Impact

Our Vancouver-based team includes over 35 professionals spanning engineering, project management, and field services. We offer tailored service and maintenance packages including commissioning, operator training, smart goggle diagnostics, and ongoing process optimization to maximize uptime and long-term project value. By consolidating digester, upgrader, CO₂ recovery, and O&M services under one provider, we simplify execution with a single contract, a single guarantee, and one fully integrated team. This not only reduces risk but also shortens timelines and accelerates revenue.
