Turn-Key Biogas Facility Through HoSt Group

Turn-Key Biogas Facility Including Biogas Upgrading Through HoSt Group
By HoSt Group & Bright Renewables
Utilizing efficient and clean energy technology, HoSt Group realized the anaerobic digestion plant and the biogas upgrading system.
By using one company for this complete range of proprietary technologies, our customer reduces project risk and costs while improving project execution efficiencies.
This integrated approach involves close cooperation with our local offices and underscores our commitment to efficiency and personalized care.
This comes together in a recent project in Vaškai, Lithuania. The project highlights seamless collaboration between HoSt Energy Systems, Bright Renewables, Instalsolutions, and our international offices. Illustrating the HoSt Group’s combined strength and specialized capabilities.
Driving energy diversification in the Baltic States
Our Latvian office played a big part in the realization of the biogas facility. “This expansion into our neighbouring country, Lithuania, reflects the company’s expertise and commitment to advancing renewable energy technologies around the world. We are thrilled to be part of Lithuania’s and the Baltic States’ energy diversification and biomethane production growth”, says Irina Krasta, General Manager of HoSt Latvia, located in Riga — one of the seven offices of the HoSt Group.
The biogas facility features four large digester tanks, each measuring 36 meters in diameter and 8 meters in height, featuring an advanced and fully redesigned mixer configuration. These digesters efficiently process approximately 350,000 tons of biomass annually, predominantly cow manure, facilitated by a moving-floor feeding system. The setup is complemented by pre-storage tanks and digestate separation systems, further increasing sustainability.
High-capacity biogas upgrading
After the anaerobic digestion process, the generated biogas is upgraded to biomethane. By adding biogas upgrading technology to the biogas facility, the project further increases sustainability, improves the CI score, while generating additional revenue.
Our high-tech systems are prefabricated at our in-house production facility, InstalSolutions. Through streamlining project delivery with standardized processes and prefabrication, we ensure short lead times and swift construction on site.
The biogas upgrader, delivered by Bright Renewables, utilizes membrane technology and has an upgrading capacity of 2,000 Nm³ per hour of ingoing biogas. The produced biomethane will be injected into the gas grid. The biomethane production is equivalent to the gas consumption of approximately 7,000 households.
