Job Description
This position’s primary focus will be to supervise and assist with the operations of Landfill Gas wellfields across a portfolio of projects. The Supervisor will provide support to local and third part staff providing guidance, oversight, troubleshooting of the system, and other tasks as assigned while ensuring compliance is maintained with the local/state permits.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all staff are working safely and are properly trained.
- Provide training and supervision to local wellfield technicians on GCCS O&M.
- Routinely evaluate site dynamics to develop win/win scenarios for site improvements.
- Fabricate repairs and install modifications to the LFG collection system.
- Operate and perform maintenance on the LFG flare system.
- Evaluate GCCS by performing depth soundings, well inspections and recording data for review.
- Work independently without direct supervision to ensure wellfield are optimized while maintaining compliance.
- Observe and enforce all safety and environmental regulations, inclusive of any applicable landfill safety protocols.
- Coordinate with facility supervisor for repairs and modifications necessary to maintain and operate GCCS.
- Ensure project compliance with local and state rules and regulations.
- Support plant operational requests.
- Ensure all sites instruments are calibrated as per requirements.
- Ensure timely and professional communications to all stakeholders regarding outages or system impacts.
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with the landfill staff.
Job Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience with Landfill gas wellfield monitoring or construction.
- 3-5 years of experience working at a Landfill • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- A self-starter possessing strong communication, planning and organizational skills.
- Desire to work on multiple projects in parallel.
- It requires travel to job sites and occasional overnight stays out of the local area. (75% travel)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and business relationships.
- Strong team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a self-starter that can operate independently.
- Demonstrated a high degree of aptitude in mechanical work and field test equipment.
- Demonstrated a high degree of aptitude in analytical problem-solving.
- Experience in the use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret operating manuals and schematics
