The ICS Consultant will possess strong working knowledge of Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control Systems – specializing in design, programming, troubleshooting, commissioning, and start-up. This position may require 25% travel to customer facilities.  If you are looking to join a growing company in a growth role in the control systems arena, this opportunity could be a great fit.

Responsibilities

  • PLC, HMI, DCS and SCADA system programming and configuration
  • Design, configuration, integration, and implementation of automated equipment
  • Develop software and hardware design specifications
  • Design, write, test and document PLC and HMI software
  • Create Control Narratives, Logic Diagrams, Cause & Effect Diagrams, and Network Diagrams
  • Develop and execute control system validation/testing protocols
  • Troubleshoot, test, and start-up control systems onsite
  • QA/QC Testing of Control Panels in our Panel Shop
  • Assist BD team with cost estimates and proposal development
  • Consult with clients to conceptualize and deliver success

Job Qualifications

  • BSEE, BSME, or related Engineering degree from an accredited university, or commensurate experience
  • 5+ years of experience designing and programming control systems with emphasis on PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems is required
  • Experience with start-up and commissioning of automated equipment
  • Experience with various sensors, transmitters, and flow meters
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required
  • Experience with control system networking technologies and PC networking technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license is required
  • Must have the ability to obtain a TWIC card
