Job Description

For the expansion of its North American operations PlanET is looking for a Project Manager to join the team. There is ONE position available and it can be located in:

• St. Catharines, ON
• Greely, Colorado
• Buffalo NY

The Project Manager will be reporting to the Director of the Project Management Office. The selected candidate  will be expected to handle all aspects of project management of anaerobic digester and biogas  upgrading projects across North America. 

Responsibilities

• Undertake all aspects of project management for engineering and construction projects.  
• Work with in-house and third-party engineers, construction managers, site supervisors, and sub contractors to ensure all project deliverables are met. 
• Act as client liaison and ensure client is kept aware of project progress. Coordinate project  communication to ensure the smooth delivery of the project. 
• Prepare and steward project schedules and budgets. Provide accurate cost forecasting and cash  flow planning. 
• Assist with the preparation and execution of project contracts. 
• Manage all project change orders along with project invoicing.
• Assist in optimizing in-house project management tools and procedures. Utilize developed tools  to implement and manage projects.

Job Qualifications

• 5-7 years’ experience in managing multimillion dollar engineering and/or construction projects
• Proven track record of working with multi-discipline teams  
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, and contracts related to  engineering and construction 
• Experience in agriculture, wastewater treatment, biogas, ethanol or renewable energy would be considered a benefit 
• Results driven with strong negotiation, communication and organizational skills.
• A self-starter and an independent worker, must demonstrate ability to manage client relations
•  Strong proficiency with Microsoft Suite of products 
• Must have valid drivers license and have the ability to work in Canada and the United States
•  Ability and willingness to travel to construction sites
