At a time when Europe is embracing a renewable energy strategy to ensure its production capacity, Methalac is making impressive strides to make a significant contribution to the biogas sector.

With the success of 65 fully operational biogas plants, the company stands among the European leaders in sustainable energy solutions. A dynamic team of 40 women and men drives this success, delivering an all-encompassing suite of services—from innovative design and meticulous engineering to flawless installation and commissioning.

Founded in 2012, METHALAC has come to understand over the years that the key to a successful biogas plant is directly linked to conception optimization, but also to biological monitoring and reliable maintenance.

This breadth of expertise ensures each project is executed to the highest standards, maximizing efficiency and sustainability with proximity services.

Methalac’s influence extends far beyond its current installations.

The company actively intervenes in over a hundred plants in France and across its borders, with a deep knowledge of every brand and manufacturer to optimize biogas production.

Switzerland was the first to witness the realization of several Methalac biogas production plants, setting a benchmark for conception excellence and dedicated biology supervision, maintenance service and smooth operations with real-time supervision and automation software accessible on the operator’s phone.

Simultaneously, promising projects have been addressed in Greece, Romania and Sweden—a country experiencing remarkable growth in renewable energy with 74 biomethane injection points by the end of 2024. Methalac’s proximity to Italy and Belenux reinforces its ability to respond swiftly to evolving industry demands, ensuring seamless integration across different regulatory and technical landscapes.

Further bolstering its reputation as a biogas expert, Methalac is actively exploring opportunities in Spain and Portugal, supported by a dedicated team based in Madrid that is well-versed in local market dynamics. As Europe mobilizes to meet the ambitious targets of the RepowerEN plan,

Methalac is ideally positioned to help achieve the collective goal of 35 billion cubic meters (bcm) of injected biomethane by 2030.

Through its integration into the VINCI Energies Group in 2023 and the full support of a visionary leadership, technical prowess, and a strong European presence, Methalac is not only powering communities but also laying the foundation for a resilient, energy-secure future across the continent.
