July is BiogasWorld’s biogas safety month, featuring equipment providers, best practices, and case studies promoting the safe and efficient operations of biogas sites. Biogas safety is the unsung hero in the everyday operations of biogas facilities, ensuring the safety of operators, environmental integrity, and mechanical efficiency.

Accidents, from any reason, are not the industry’s favourite topic, however, they must nevertheless be discussed if the industry is to learn and better itself. Safety, both personal and environmental, is a top priority at all biogas facilities. As the industry has developed, engineers, developers, and managers have learned from mistakes and continuously implement and update the best practices for operating biogas sites.

With approximately 20,000 biogas plants in Europe and more than 2,700 biogas sites in North America, safety is important. Historically, few accidents have occurred when machinery has missed necessary maintenance, carelessness or negligence has occurred during maintenance, or the lifespan of equipment or materials was not properly documented. As with every other sector, the biogas industry has been able to learn from past mistakes and ensure facilities meet a high degree of safety and operational effectiveness.

In this new issue of Biogas Magazine, BiogasWorld provides a glimpse into how major industry players make the biogas sites safe and secure. The Biogas Magazine on safety features Waga Energy, Ingersoll Rand, IBBK, AB Energy, MRU Instruments, IEC – Industrial & Environmental Concepts, PDDM Solutions, Anessa, Azura Associates, DMT Clear Gas Solutions, Drycake, Greenlane Renewables, and Sysadvance.
